About Sarah
Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a mother, DONA International certified birth doula, and midwifery student based in Portola Valley serving families across the San Francisco Bay Area. When I’m not supporting families or chasing after my little guy, you’ll usually find me outside exploring nature, behind a camera lens, diving into a new arts and crafts project, or just taking a well-deserved coffee break.
My own motherhood journey started in 2020 in Washington, right in the middle of Covid. I was two states away from family, feeling overwhelmed and unsure, with a partner who wasn’t present. It was tough, and I was scared I'd have to figure it all out on my own.
But during my own birth, one amazing L&D nurse stayed by my side, even when she didn’t have to. She made me feel confident, supported, and strong when I needed it most. I’ll never forget how empowered I felt because of her. She inspired a deep passion to be that support person for other women and families.
That's when I found my calling as a doula and midwife. Once that door opened, there was no going back. I jumped in with both feet, learning everything I could and building a practice that’s all about meeting families exactly where they are - with compassion, knowledge, and real support.
This work feels like home to me. I’m so excited to meet you, hear your story, and walk alongside you on your own incredible journey.
My Philosophy
I believe birth is a deeply personal and transformative experience, and every family deserves to feel supported, informed, and respected in their choices.
My approach blends evidence-based care with intuitive, hands-on support, meeting you exactly where you are. Whether your birth is at home, in a hospital, or in a birthing center, I am there to provide steady, grounded support.
